Hat Making
As an experienced hat-making seamstress, I apply a variety of precise sewing techniques that ensure a professional finish in every piece.
Sweatbands
Skilled at assembling and sewing sweatbands, including detailed zigzag stitching and the accurate placement of the bows.
Steel-Wired Brims
Adept at placing steel wiring within flat, wide-brimmed hats to enhance structure and durability beneath the trim.
Rolled Brims
Specialising in the application of trims on rolled brims using ribbons in varying widths (⅝", 1", and 1¼"), ensuring elegant appearance.
Straw Hats
Experienced in fitting ⅝" and 1" decorative trims to both flat and snapped straw hat styles.
Single & Double Stitched Brims
While primarily decorative, this technique is executed with efficiency and precision to enhance the aesthetic of the hat's brim.
Liners
With custom-designed lining patterns, I produce liners tailored to a range of hat sizes and crown shapes for a seamless fit.
Ribbons
Proficient in various ribbon treatments - including, among others, single and double bows, square and shark gill bows - applied with ribbons ranging from ⅝" to 2", as well as placing leather bands.
Lapel Cords & Buttons
Skilled in placing lapel cords and buttons on various hat designs.
